I’m a sucker for free stuff, so I didn’t hesitate when I saw a craigslist ad for a free hair cut. Actually, I did hesitate, but the ad stated that she’s a seasoned pro, and after reading her bio on http://www.Shears2U.com, she sure sounded like a pro.
Let’s start with the pro’s:
- Friendly hairstylist
- Free cut
- More flexible than traditional salons
Cons:
- Her dog kept jumping on my leg and her daughter thought it was fun to scratch me and pull on my cape throughout the cut. The stylist also had to keep an eye on her daughter. I’m told that normally, her daughter wouldn’t be around for the appointments.
- She used thinning shears. I never knew of any seasoned pro who did that and I’ve always been afraid of those. It just seems like something an amateur or less experienced stylist would use, that’s all.
- The first thing my brother said when he saw my haircut was that it’s uneven.
- I mentioned that I’m still trying to grow my hair out, yet she lopped off 4-5 inches.
Well, that’s the gist of it.
